Abstract: Labour productivity is a concept and a parameter that continues to be in centre ofeveryone’s attention all over the world, due to its impact upon the all states’ economy. It is thesubject of many specialists’ discussions and prediction for the near or long term future and also therelations that are affecting directly or indirectly the evolution of the economic progress. Specialistsfrom each country are analyzing the crisis’ effects upon the employees’ number and their salarylevel and are trying to find solutions for surpassing the crisis from their country. Romanianeconomy only in 2009 could really quantify the first effects of the financial crisis upon theemployees’ number.
