Abstract: This paper aims to obtain some pertinent data regarding the technico-economic feasability of the technology for producing emulsified combustibles and to evaluate the profitableness of its use as alterrnative combustibles to be burnt in boilers. In the first part of the paper, there is a short presentation of the main results obtained by the specialty studies on international level and, in the second part, there has been performed a preliminary economic evaluation of the emulsion prepared in a laboratory phase in Romania, on the basis of the cost elements available at present.
