Abstract:
The study of impact of psychological factors on corporate managers' behavior and perceptions is a particulary active field of research. Many components of the personality have been analyzed in this manner (intelligence, need of achievement, propensity to risk-taking, value system). However, the influence of temporal perception on a manager's strategic thinking is a field which has not been greatly explored by academic research. With the presentation of a review of literature and results of a survey carried among 52 managers in the cardboard industry, this article tried to explain the influence of temporal representations on the manager's strategic thinking.
