Abstract: It is common to assert that purchasing involvement in new product projects has a critical role in cost and time-based strategies. This exploratory research intends to analyse the roles of the buyers to arouse, control and manage innovation in an interorganizational context. This conceptual approach is illustrated by the development of a new purchasing organization in Schneider Electric SA
