Abstract:
The increase in the size of the groups and the rise of the requirements of the customers give a renewed interest to the problem of control by the central seat of its establishments' activity. The study of a significant group of the great French distribution shows the complementarity of the mechanisms of coordination used together with their coherence with the adopted strategy. It also shows the harmful effects on the performance of an inadequate implementation of mechanisms whose choice however proves justified.
