Abstract: "The article presents a study on the effects of regional unemployment on regional wages. Data from the IAB employment sample for the period 1981-1990 is used to estimate a multilevel model adapted to longitudinal analysis. The results confirm the existence of wage reactions. The resulting 'wage curve' is, however, flatter than in other countries, the elasticity is about -0.06." (author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
