What Sustainability Should Mean

Abstract: The economics of sustainability has become narrowly defined as the need to balance growth with environmental health. But this author argues that sustainability truly involves much more than this. How can people who have not yet benefited from that growth work to reverse the environmental impact of economic growth? The author argues that we need a broader understanding of well-being.
