Abstract:
The managerial style and the organizational culture are obviously major factors of an open and cooperative communication climate. If in the history of an organization there have been cases where the suggestions were willingly followed, where mistakes led to a positive conclusion and crises offhandedly surpassed, the personel can prove to be more communicative. - Communication represents a major, essential part of a managerial activity. - An organization can have either an open and co-operative communication climate or a closed and defensive one; each of them is characterized by different communicative ways of behaviour. - In order to carry out his activity, the manager needs to obtain accurate information. His informational needs can meet his challenge either within the different informational networks of wich he is part or by obtaining and supplying information in a series of different comunication channels. - One can usually include e-mail, mail, meetings, telephone and discussions among communication channels. - Communication problems usually include:excesiv informational volume; lack of information; inefficient communication - Any manager has acces to an informal network organized both by formal and informal contacts. - Communication is a bilateral process carried out between the emitter and the receiver and it can be represented by a seven-staged model. - An incorrect premise arisen in any of these seven stages can lead to an inefficient communication. - Whenever we communicate, messages can contain: facts; feelings; values; opinions.
