SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN EUROPEAN UNION

Abstract: Sustainable development of European Union, in conformity with objectives and provisions of “Europe of 2020” Strategy, is based on capitalization of potential small and medium enterprises. The paper presents relevant aspects concerning SMEs community space sector and emphasizes main adopted documents and actions, developed by European Union organisms, in order to create and consolidate a favorable environment for SMEs development. The final part of the paper presents coordinates on which must be structured, in the next period, SMEs community politics of development.
