Mata Matters: Structures

Abstract: Mata is Stata’s matrix language. In the Mata Matters column, we show how Mata can be used interactively to solve problems and as a programming language to add new features to Stata. Structures are the sub ject of this column. Structures are an advanced programming technique that can greatly simplify complicated code.
