Abstract:
In 1988, the performance of the agricultural sector was satisfactory, from a national average perspective. An excellent crop harvest and the stagnation of inputs accounted for the good results. The regional pattern of final output performance varied more than usual. Around an average of 2 percent growth rates in the provinces ranged from +7 percent to –1 percent.
