Abstract: Der Vorstand des Institutes hat Prof. Dr. Karl Aiginger mit Wirkung vom 1. März 2005 mit der Leitung des WIFO beauftragt. Er sieht es als Aufgabe des WIFO, die österreichische Wirtschaftspolitik und die europäische Diskussion durch fundierte, objektive Analysen zu unterstützen.
