Abstract: Die Berufslaufbahn von Helmut Kramer ist geprägt durch vier Kernkompetenzen: Wirtschaftsforschung, Politikberatung, Lehre und Management. Die erfolgreiche Nutzung dieser vier Kompetenzen hat das WIFO während seiner Tätigkeit als Leiter (1981-2005) zu einem international bekannten Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut gemacht.
