No 21916, 2003 Annual meeting, July 27-30, Montreal, Canada from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: A Chesapeake Bay Watershed manure management model estimates the minimal regional net cost of land applying manure at $76 million under a multi-year phosphorus standard, with assumed manure acceptance rate on 60 percent of cropland. The multi-year standard represents a savings of 17 percent relative to an annual phosphorus standard.
