Abstract:
In the first part of the paper, the relationships netween growth, competitiveness and quality is discussed. The conclusion is that the relationships may be particularly fruitfully interpreted at the industry level. In the middle section, the industry analysis is presented in a development perspective and related to the Danish experiences on industrial policy. The final part of this paper returns to the macro policy level and summarizes growth and development theories in a policy framework.
