Abstract: At present, the occupational health policies which stem from the industrial era are gripped by a deep crisis. Constant technological change, the changing patterns of employment and production, the limitations of inspection services, cost cutting exercises in many companies and the weakness of the trade union movement have all rendered most of the current occupational health policies obsolete. policies that were suited to an industrial society need to be adapted to a post-industrial situation.
