On the Roles og Galois Connections in Classification

F. Domenach and B. Leclerc

Papiers d'Economie Mathématique et Applications from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1)

Abstract: Galois connections (or residuated mapping) are of growing interest in various domains related with or relevant from Classification. Among their many uses, we select some topics related with modelization and aggregation of dissimilarities and conceptual classification. We partially revist them in a common frame provided by a recent study about Galois connections between closure spaces.
