Siedlungsstrukturen von Migrantengruppen in Deutschland: Schwerpunkte der Ansiedlung und innerstädtische Konzentrationen

Abstract: Diese Studie beschreibt auf der Basis städtischer Statistiken und des Datensatzes der Innerstädtischen Raumbeobachtung Grundzüge der Siedlungsstrukturen ausländischer Staatsangehöriger bzw. von MigrantInnen in Deutschland. Neben einer Skizze der städtischen Siedlungsschwerpunkte der ausländischen Staatsangehörigen bietet die Studie eine Analyse der Siedlungskonzentration einzelner Nationalitäten innerhalb ausgewählter Großstädte. Ein umfangreicher Tabellenanhang stellt detaillierte Informationen über deutsche Städte und die größten Nationalitäten bereit. Zentrales Ergebnis ist, dass insgesamt das Niveau der Konzentration in einzelnen Städten bzw. Stadtvierteln relativ niedrig ist, wobei es Unterschiede zwischen den Gruppen gibt. -- Based on city statistics and the dataset of the Innerstädtische Raumbeobachtung (innercity spatial monitoring), this study describes key features of the settlement structures of foreign citizens and of migrants more generally in Germany. Apart from an overview of the urban centres of migrant settlement, the study offers an analysis of the residential concentration of some individual nationalities within selected major cities. A number of tables in the annex provide detailed information on German cities and the major foreign nationalities. The key finding of the study is that overall the level of ethnic residential concentration is relatively low in Germany, although differences exist between national groups.
