DIRLIST: Stata module to retrieve directory information

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: dirlist ("Directory List") is used as the 'dir' command, but retrieves the information about files in in return macros. Directory data are written to a temporary file using shell commands (Windows dir and Mac OSX/Linux/Unix ls) and subsequently read by the program.
