SPATDWM: Stata modules for US State and County spatial distance matrices

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: Following Scott Merryman (2005), this package contains two Stata data files that are spatial distance matrices for 48 U.S. contiguous states and 3109 U.S. counties, respectively. The third file includes a description of the two distance formula. These two Stata files can be used with Maurizio Pisati's STB-60 sg162 "Tools for spatial data analysis." The sample dataset and do-file used in Scott Merryman can be borrowed to demonstrate their usage. Due to their size, these files are in a zip file.
