Abstract:
qsort and qsortidx are programming utilities that sort the words in a macro in numeric or alphanumeric order, using a non-recursive version of quicksort. qsort should not be used for lists containing of (say) 100+ words. The interpreted Stata language is simply too slow for this. For those with Stata v6 on an internet-accessible machine, install by typing .net cd http://www.fss.uu.nl/soc/iscore/stata/ then .net install qsort
Language: Stata Requires: Stata version 6.0 Date: Written 1999-04-14
