Abstract: dropvars varlist is similar to drop varlist, but warns if a variable does not exists, rather than aborts. Note that capture drop varlist either drops all variables or none. dropvar varlist is equivalent to for var varlist: capture drop X For those with Stata v6 on an internet-accessible machine, install by typing .net cd http://www.fss.uu.nl/soc/iscore/stata/ then .net install dropvars
