Abstract: Open source software is jointly developed by an internet community and involves many advantages for commercial users. However, potential users who do not contribute to the development can not be excluded from utilization. Thus, competitors may benefit from software solutions free of charge. This problem can be resolved by establishing a cooperative as a supplementary form of cooperation for the internet community.
