Abstract:
The problem of assessing the transport factor in the location of production is attracting the attention of numerous researchers. At the same time, not all of the problems associated with the scientifically substantiated assessment of the transport factor in the location of production have as yet been resolved. In particular, problems requiring further study are the selection of economic indices characterizing transport expenditures, the patterns of change in operational expenditures and capital investments, the consideration of the dynamic nature of specific transport expenditures and their differentiation depending on various conditions, e.g., shipping distance, etc.
