Abstract: This work presents a method of facial recognition, based on Local Binary Models. The idea of using this algorithm was induced by the fact that human faces can be seen as a composition of microstructures, which can be easily described by this algorithm. I will discuss about the process of facial recognition at a theoretical level and the implementation of an application, written in MATLAB, which will help me run some experiments on a number of images, using a standard database.
