An econometric analysis of the bank note circulation in the Netherlands (in Dutch)

A.E. Förch and Marga Peeters ()

WO Research Memoranda (discontinued) from Netherlands Central Bank, Research Department

Abstract: This report presents an updated version of the econometric model of the Bank that is used to forecast the bank note circulation and the number of returned and rejected bank notes. New elements in the model are the estimation of long-term relationships and the inclusion of the returns at point of sale terminals as explanatory variable. The bank note circulation until 2002 is forecasted for several scenarios.
