Abstract:
This synthesis aims to show how the implementation of a series of neoliberal policies since the 1980s, in particular those relating to financial liberalization and socio-labor policies, may be influencing on the high inequality and economic insecurity in Latin America. The financial liberalization has changed the way the world has been globalized, subordinating the productive economy to the financial speculation. Regarding to socio-labour policies, the market deregulation and the labour flexibility promotion often caused an increase in social inequalities, without obtaining the pursued aim of employment stimulation.
