Abstract: “Information society†requires individuals to have many diverse qualifications. These qualifications include knowing and applying various ways of thinking, such as researching, problem solving, and creative and critical thinking. Educating individuals with such qualifications is only possible by making students become more active in learning-teaching process and this requires adaptation of education to different students with different learning styles. “Learning style†is the sum of characteristics reflecting individuals preferences and tendencies related to learning. Another quality, which is as important as learning styles and students arerequired to gain in training process, is critical thinking. Critical thinking, in general, is a complex and comprehensive process requiring high-level cognitive skills. This process is regarded to be necessary and important for both individuals’academic and daily lives. Learning style affects behaviors of individuals throughout their lives and the actions of individuals are carried out in accordance with these qualifications. Therefore, this brings out the question of whether the qualifications of these learning styles have any effect on critical thinking of individuals or not. In this study, based on some international studies, it is investigated if there is a relationship between learning styles and critical thinking and also a general overview about the subject is presented.
