CES Technical Notes Series from Center for Economic Studies, U.S. Census Bureau
Abstract:
This technical report outlines a method step-by-step to create a bridge file between SSEL and Compustat, including the address matching programs. Furthermore, it lists the methodological differences between Census 2005 and 2011 versions, and discusses how the methodology in this report improves the bridge file. Researchers who are planning to construct a bridge file can benefit from this technical report as a reference.
