Abstract: Abstract Placed in a context of globalization, SMEs are subjected to the relocation phenomenon, in the same way as the big companies. It is the reason for which, some of them decide to become international or more still relocate all or any of their activities. This strategy, although advantageous from a financial point of view, risky house because of strategic, cultural or still political difficulties. To mitigate these limits, the membership in a network could be then envisaged. Indeed, this one would allow to facilitate the relocation. But is it always the case? This research aim to underline the ambiguity of role of the network of SMEs in the choice of location: does it favor the relocation or on the contrary the non-relocation? To answer it, a comparative study was led with two SMEs belonging to the same network. The results bring to light his role in the decision-making.
