Abstract: The aim of this paper is to lay the groundwork for an endogenization of the environmental constraint in the development strategies of poor rural areas. Combining "strong sustainability", anthropocentrism and local approach, the proposal of a Territorial Agro-EcoSystem of Production (Agro-ESPT) aims to enrich the "Local agri-food system (Syal) approach" by integrating the circularity principles of Industrial Ecology.
