Abstract:
The debate about the opportunity to work towards the emergence of a system of "flexicurity" is in fact structured around the opposition between two major options. The first one attempts to implement an "ideal" capitalism, made of individuals become independent by the possession of sufficient allocations in different "capitals". The second one refers instead to a vision that can be advantageously compared to that of J.R. Commons when he imagined the ways to implement a "reasonable" capitalism.
