Abstract: Au cours des deux dernières décennies, l'économie des conventions a influencé différents courants de recherche dans le domaine agroalimentaire. Cette influence se repère dans le champ des sciences économiques et sociales anglophones, en particulier depuis la traduction en anglais, au milieu des années 2000, de deux références majeures : De la justification (Boltanski and Thévenot (1991)[2006]) et Le nouvel esprit du capitalisme (Boltanski and Chiapello (1999)[2005]). Nous proposons ici une revue de la littérature anglophone s'appuyant sur l'économie des conventions et appliquée aux études agro-alimentaires à partir du recueil de 51 publications parues entre 1997 et 2014. Comment la 'convention theory', appliquée aux questions agro-alimentaires et de l'environnement a-t-elle été introduite dans la littérature anglophone, à quelles conclusions analytiques a-t-elle conduit, quelles originalités ou proximités sont apparues avec l'école française de l'Economie des conventions ?
