Working Papers from HAL

Abstract: This report reviews the main organizational, technical, structural and social trends in e-health innovation sector. It is structured around three topics: the impact of ICT in health care, the new figure of the patient and the citizen and the main trends in e-health sector. Three dynamics have been highlighted (with the caution needed in a prospective work) : the proposition of more and more integrated healthcare, a more expert and automous patient in his health's management and the evolution of health sector toward a more preventive than curative approach. This evolution should offer a new place to personnalized and customized medicine in medical domain but also in industrial sector like insurances.
