Abstract:
Among the Western European markets Spain is the fifth biggest country, providing about 6% of WE demand, but a low importer, ranking 11th at a WE level. Spain is a low importer, neverthless Central Eastern European countries (Romania, Lithuania and Slovakia) are increasing fast and gaining market shares at the expenses of Asian suppliers. Spain is the other country where the traditional trade (small scale independent retailers) still has a sizeable presence. The non-specialist channel has slightly increased its weight. The report provides trends in home furniture consumption, analysis of the furniture distribution system by channel, retail formats and sales performances of top retailing companies operating in Spain.
