Abstract:
The problem of interregional inequality quite often attracts attention of both foreign and domestic researchers studying factors of economic growth. This is explained by the fact that a high regional differentiation can hinder the economic development of the country as a whole. In particular, the authors considered the neoclassical approach to the study of interregional inequality; An analysis of interregional inequalities in the context of the theory of new economic geography is carried out; Factors of interregional inequality within the framework of the theory of random growth are considered; The literature on the theory of agglomerations and convergence is studied; Methods for measuring interregional inequality, etc. are systematized.
