Abstract:
The financial crisis determined a transition in management from an approach based on spending allocated funds in the budgetary year and avoiding loosing it to another that takes into consideration economizing as more as possible. Performance measurement in public entities implies certain particularities, which make this process to be different from the process within the private sector. An important phase in the process of measuring performances is setting and implementing a group of relevant quantitative and qualitative indicators that express also economy, efficiency, and efficacy.
