The catalytic role of social support in entrepreneurial intention: A systematic literature review

Abstract: This systematic literature review assesses studies on social support and entrepreneurial intention. While both topics have been extensively researched, their intersection has only recently gained attention in entrepreneurship research. This review maps how social support influences entrepreneurial intentions to address this gap. The article utilizes Scopus and Web of Science for a comprehensive literature review. The initial search yielded 2,490 records, which were subsequently screened based on predefined inclusion criteria, resulting in a final sample of 63 journal articles. Notably, most of the selected studies were published after 2020, indicating a growing academic interest in this field in recent years.
