Abstract: Financial systems in our contemporary stage undergo significant changes, but in fact as economy in general, due to a number of factors among which we can mention: technological and financial innovations, intense liberalization of both the real and financial flows, intensification of the process of globalization. Thus the financial sphere is not exempt from tensions and destabilizing movements, generating risks for both the properly so called actors of the financial system and the economy as a whole. In this context, achieving financial stability is one of the new challenges that modern economies face.
