Abstract: The main trends in the development of the large-scale agricultural companies in Ukraine and the place of agricultural holdings in agriculture are analyzed. There is estimated the classification of the large-scale agricultural entities. There are justified the reasons constraining the further growth of large-scale agricultural production. There are characterized properties of the potential agricultural holdings, as well as their advantages in comparison with other market operators.
