Abstract:
A Innovation Union is a flagship initiative of the Europe 2020 strategy which aims to develop a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Republic of Moldova, as EU associated country, is expected to contribute to achieving the over 30 goals (commitments) of this initiative. The aim of the study was to analyze the innovation policy in Moldova related to the Innovation Union commitments. In this paper it is assessed the current situation in national innovation system according to various elements, based on policy documents and implemented practical actions, and it is estimated that national progress towards achieving the Innovation Union commitments is very modest.
