Abstract: This paper sheds light on the ideas of the American economist Hyman Minsky with regard the financial instability that the capitalist system suffers from. While mainstream axiom bases its analysis on Efficient Market and Rational Expectations hypotheses, Minsky, on the other hand bases his analysis upon the Financial Instability Hypothesis (FIH). So, what does this hypothesis imply? What are the dimensions that this hypothesis adds to the prevailing analysis? What can Muslim Economists benefit from his ideas? To accomplish the above task the paper has been organized as follows: short biography about Hyman Minsky, the weight of his analysis in financial crises, what are his main ideas, with particular attention given to FIH, what can Muslim Economists benefit from his analysis?, and Finally concluding remarks are drawn from the discussion.Keywords: Hyman Minsky, Financial Instability Hypothesis, Financial fragility, Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance. تسلط هذه الورقة الضوء على أهم الأفكار التي طرحها الاقتصادي الأمريكي هايمان مينسكي (Hyman Minsky) فيما يتعلق بعدم الاستقرار المالي الذي يعاني منه النظام الرأسمالي. يقدم مينسكي طرحًا مغايرًا للطرح السائد في الأدبيات المالية الذي ينطلق من كفاءة الأسواق (Efficient Market Hypothesis)، وفرضية عقلانية التوقعات (Rational Expectations Hypothesis) في ظل النظام الاقتصادي الرأسمالي، لينطلق هو في المقابل من فرضية عدم الاستقرار (Financial Instability Hypothesis) في النظام المالي الذي ينعكس سلبًا على أداء الاقتصاد بسبب الأزمات العنيفة، والكوارث التي يحدثها بين الفينة والأخرى. ففيما يتمثل هذا الطرح؟ ولماذا كثر الاهتمام به عقب الأزمة المالية الأخيرة؟ وماذا يمكن أن نستفيد مما طرحه كاقتصاديين مسلمين؟ للإجابة على هذه التساؤلات تم تقسيم الورقة للمحاور التالية: من هو هايمان مينسكي؟ وما مكانته في قضية الأزمات؟ وما هي أهم الأفكار التي طرحها؟ ماذا يمكن أن نستفيد من إسهاماته العلمية في قضية الأزمات؟ وأخيرًا خلاصة واستنتاجات.
