Abstract: The paper presents an approach for theorizing in Islamic economics based on the nature of this field of knowledge. The paper argues that induction is essential, both in Shari‘ah and economics, for building convincing and useful theories of Islamic economics. Accordingly, the paper discusses the questions of riba and gharar, and how proper induction in these areas can lead to a general theory of Islamic finance. Finally, the paper addresses the relationship between positive and normative analysis, and argues that interaction between fiqh and economics requires integration of various specializations in order to successfully build reasonable theories of Islamic economics تتناول الورقة العناصر الأساسية لمنهج التنظير في مجال الاقتصاد الإسلامي، وفقًا لخصائص هذا العلم وطبيعته. وتوضح الورقة أهمية الاستقراء، في المجال الفقهي والمجال الاقتصادي، في بناء نظريات مثمرة ومفيدة علميًا وعمليًا. ولذا تتناول الورقة منهج الاستقراء المثمر في قضيتي الربا والغرر، وكيف يمكن من خلال ذلك بناء نظرية عامة للمالية الإسلامية. وتختم الورقة بمناقشة جوانب التفاعل بين الدراسة الفقهية والتحليل الاقتصادي وأهمية تكامل التخصصات العلمية من أجل التوصل إلى بناء نظريات راسخة في الاقتصاد الإسلامي.
