How to Ensure Research Quality in Islamic Economics? كيف نضمن جودة البحث في الاقتصاد الإسلامي؟

Abstract: Asad Zaman has been advocating for the dominant role of spirit and morality as Islamic alternatives to the secular morality for improvement of the research quality in Islamic economics. There are some other streams of thought in Islamic economics as well. But the present paper does not enter into this controversy. It discusses how the quality of research papers can be improved. A good paper is one which adds to the knowledge; does not repeat and reproduce what has already been mentioned or researched; aims at filling a gap in the discipline; is free from plagiarism; is based on original sources; and clearly states the ideas based on the Qur’ān and ḥadīth and refers to them in the text. To improve research quality, the foremost responsibility lies on the researcher himself. He should follow the criteria of good research. The editor and the referee also have to work to ensure that the research quality is maintained. Thus, the trio (researcher – editor – reviewer) constitutes a very crucial part of the process of research quality in any field; be it in pure or social sciences, particularly if the discipline is in a nascent and development stage like Islamic Economics. يُدافع أَسد زمان عن الدور المهيمن للأخلاق والجوانب الروحية كبدائل إسلامية للأخلاق العلمانية لتحسين جودة البحث في الاقتصاد الإسلامي. يُمثِّل هذا المسلك أحد المُقاربات لتناول الموضوع، إلا أن هناك مُقاربات فكرية أخرى في الاقتصاد الإسلامي. لن تدخل هذه الورقة في جدل ذلك المسلك، أو تلك المُقاربات؛ حيث إِنها تُناقش -وبشكل مباشر- كيف يمكن تحسين جودة البحوث في الاقتصاد الإسلامي. من المعلوم أن للورقة البحثية الجيدة خصائص متعددة، من ذلك: أنها تقدم قيمة مُضافة للمعرفة؛ ولا تقوم بتكرار وإعادة ما أُشبع بحثًا ؛ وأنها تهدف إلى سد فجوة في مجال التخصص؛ وأن تكون خالية من السرقة العلمية والانتحال؛ وأن تستند إلى مصادر أصلية؛ وأن تذكر الأفكار المبنية على القرآن والحديث والمستنبطة منهما بوضوح وتُشير إلى ذلك في النص. تَقع المسؤولية الأولى في تحسين جودة البحث على عاتق الباحث في المقام الأول حيث يجب عليه أن يَتَّبع معايير البحث الجيد. كما يجب على المحرر والمُحَكِّم أو المُراجع العمل بعناية فائقة لما يُناط بهم من مسؤوليات ومهام للإسهام في ضمان جودة الأبحاث. مما سبق يمكن الخُلوص إلى أن مُثَلَّث (الباحث – المُحرر – المُحكم) يُشكل حلقةً مهمةً في عملية جودة الأبحاث في أي حقل؛ سواء كان ذلك في العلوم الدقيقة أو الاجتماعية، خاصة إذا كان الحقل المعرفي في طور النشأة والتكوين كالاقتصاد الإسلامي.
