Abstract:
Inguinal hernia is defined as a protusion of an organ or abdominal content so through a defect of the abdominal wall in the inguinal region, regardless of whether it is congenital or acquired. These may be direct or indirect, medial or lateral, respectively, in relation to the lower epigastric vasculature.
