Abstract:
Lebanon is distinguished by a great wealth of plant species especially with medicinal properties. In fact, 2607 wild species of which 92 are endemics can be found in only 10452 km2. Phenolic compounds are an essential part of the human diet and are of considerable interest due to their antioxidant properties and potential beneficial health effects.
