Abstract: The amount of kinesiology research produced has steadily risen over the previous decades. While much of the existing literature has utilized traditional hypothesis testing, the use of advanced statistical procedures is growing in popularity. Linear mixed-effect modeling is an extension of the traditional linear model and presents many advantages when used with study designs common in kinesiology or other interventionbased research with multiple time points.
