Abstract: The objectives of endodontics are the prevention and cure of periapical disease (Apical Periodontitis); which is achieved by cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system and subsequent obturation of root spaces by filling with inert materials, avoiding reinfection and persistent inflammation [1]. The purpose of the treatment is no longer the preservation of the pulp, but the prevention and/or cure of apical periodontitis [2].
