Abstract: Caregivers’ nutritional status may be negatively affected due to their high emotional burden, which compromise the provision of care. The aim of this systematic review was to understand and summarize what is reported in the literature regarding the informal and formal caregivers’ nutritional status, namely 1) their current nutritional status, 2) the screening tools used and 3) the nutritional status’ related factors. A literature search was carried out on Medline, Scopus, and Web of Science from December 2021 to March 2022, according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines.
