Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a type of cancer in the human large intestine. Colorectal cancer is the third and second most common cancer, respectively, in men and women worldwide [1]. The number of colorectal cancer cases is expected to increase by 80% by 2035, climbing to approximately 2.4 million new colorectal cancer cases and contributing to 1.3 million deaths worldwide [2]. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the commonest cancer in Malaysian men (age-standardized incidence rate 14.8/ 100,000), the second most common cancer in Malaysian women (age-standardized incidence rate 11.1/ 100,000) [3]. Unfortunately, in Malaysia CRC is detected late due to several factors.
